1. Can we choose any cake? Yes and No. You may choose any of the 15 Bridal Cakes and 9 Groom's cakes. The Sweet Insiprations Packages are set cake designs that offer great designs and taste at really great prices.
2. Do we have to get a groom's cake in the package? No..... You can use the servings in on the grooms cake for the brides cake........meaning if you pick a package for 100, you can use 60 or so servings that would have been in the groom's cake and add it to the bridal cake.
3. I don't know my exact count yet. If I purchase a package, can I change later? YES.... the exact contract
does not matter, JUST PLEASE SECURE YOUR DATE ASAP! For instance..if you choose a package for 125, but at the 14 day point you need less cake...all you have to do is let us know and we reduce the contract. There is no penalty to change your contract. The main thing is to reserve your date!
4. What does the groom's cake look like? Each Groom's cake can have something added to make the cake more personal. We suggest:

5. Do I get to come in for a consultation? No, Sorry. Everything for the Sweet Inspiratons Cake Packages are done online or briefly at the bakery. The only way to offer cakes at this great value is to reduce the amount of time that each of us put into the process. By eliminating the consultation process, this allows us to be able to service brides who are not going to meet the cake order minimum of $750 or perhaps just don't have the time to come in. But, once your contract is submitted we contact you to come by the store and pick up your complimentary cakes to taste and at that time we will finalize the contract. This meeting is limited to 10 minutes or less. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND. IF FOR SOME REASON YOU BOOK A SITDOWN CONSULTATION, THE CAKE PACKAGE PRICES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
6. Can we add something to the groom's cake ourselves? Yes. For instance, if you plan to add a Dallas Cowboys Helmet to the top, just tell us and we will make sure we prepare the cake accordingly. Perhaps there are other ideas you plan to use, that is not a problem. As long as you provide the items there is not a problem. We can also add a logo or scan if you would like something personal on the cake.
7. Do you deliver? Yes. These cakes can be picked up or delivered. If you are picking up don't worry!!! It is very easy to pick up. We chill the cakes to 34 degrees and they are very very transportable. Just make sure you have a SUV, van or large compartment vehicle with AIR CONDITIONING and you will be just fine. We will provide pick up/delivery tips in your contract. But just know....it is very very easy and should not be a problem. If you request delivery, the delivery fee for the package is $75. To many, that is worth paying. For us, we hire two additional delivery guys for our packages plus we deliver in a refrigerated van for safety.
8. Do I have a choice of flavors? YES...of course...we offer these DELICIOUS cake flavors:

9. But if there is not consultation, how do we taste cakes? Very simple. Once you submit your contract online, we will call you, or pick a date from page one of your contract and schedule a time for you to come in and pick up your personal cake samples! Or you can choose one of the times below and then let us know when you want to come by to pick up samples:

10. We are traveling all the way to Frisco with cakes. Will they be safe? Yes, definately. If you follow the guidelines that we offer in the contract you will be just fine! The cakes are chilled, PLUS, each cake has at least one FAKE cake and that stablizes the entire stack! It is very very easy! Just dirve safe!
11. What will the cakes come packaged in.? Wedding cakes CAN NOT be boxed. Each cake needs to sit on a piece of egg crate foam or foam in the back of a vehicle. Our cakes travel very nicely since they are chilled. Remember they come stacked and ready to go!
12. I want to have ribbon on my cake, but I want to use my own colors....can I ? Yes of course! Just let us know on the contract and that is not a problem! We can provide it or you can bring it it!
13. What is the deposit? All desposits for the Sweet Inspirations Cake Packages are ONLY $100 and if you don't like the taste of the cake it is completely refundable with in 3 days of picking up samples.
14. When is the balance due? 14 days before. At that time all changes in contract are due and finalized. Remember you can change your contract up till about 14 days before......that way you can get your RSVP's back and make better number choices!
15. I have a contract that has a cheaper price than is on the website. Will you honor the less expensive price?
Of course! Just please save the contract, fill it out and send it in with the deposit...and we always honor any
printed material from specials, shows and website updates.
16. Can there be different flavors on each tier of the cakes? Yes, of course!
17. When do we pick it up? That is completely up to you! We will be in contact to schedule a pick up time once full payment is made.
18. How do I know which package to choose? Choose the number of guests you are having, then select the bridal cake you like best! Simple!
19. What kind of icing is used? Do you use fondant? We use our delicious buttercream/cream cheese icing. Cakes in the packages do not include fondant.

21. When I look at the contracts, why do some of them have +$20 for a fake cake? Some cakes need a fake to make the cake look right. The fake price that you see on the contract is about 1/2 what it would normally cost. Each contract is different, because it is based on the number of servings that each cake will serve, so each "extra" is different or in some cases not needed. If a fake cake is listed it MUST be used to attain the look in the picture.
22. I want a larger cake, can I add a fake tier to make it larger? YES! Please use the UPGRADE page in the contract to guide you!

26. How can cakes for 50 guests and cakes for 175 guests be the same? Very simple, if you compare the contracts, it is just a matter of cake size and the inclusion of fake cakes. We can make any cake feed any number between 50 and 200. We rotate in fake cakes where needed to give us the correct number. All a customer has to do is choose the appropriate guest count and it takes care of itself..... simple as that!!!
27. If I have a topper will The Cake Guys put it on for us? Yes we will be glad to! All you have to do is leave it on the cake table and we will put the topper on. This also includes fresh flowers. We would be glad to put them on for you as well. if you are supplying fresh flowers......please have fresh flowers ready for us and we can put them on!
28. I want one of your cakes, but I want the scrolling to be a different color....is this possible? Yes! Just let us know the color and it can be changed.
29. I want a special color ribbon on my cake...how do we do this? Just please provide us with the ribbon and we will gladly use it. We keep basic colors...but it is safer for the bride to match her color and send it in. You can also request us to provide the ribbon. Please refer to the UPGRADE page of the contract...and that will walk you through the process...
30. How big a ribbon do we need? We use 7/8" or 1 1/2" ribbon on most of our cakes.

"Why do you require a depsit and the contract submitted BEFORE we get to taste the cakes....what happens if we don't like the cake?" We require all information to be submitted, including the deposit, to insure that the wedding party is completely serious about booking our company for their cakes. If we did not require the deposit to be paid, we would be giving out cake all day long 7 days a week. Also, in the DFW wedding market these prices are very very RARE, especially for the quality. For the quality in design and taste, these prices can not be matched. Keep in mind, that the deposit is only $100 for each package and IF FOR SOME REASON YOU DON'T LIKE THE CAKE SAMPLES, THE DEPOSIT IS 100% REFUNDED. We have NEVER had anyone not choose our packages because of taste. We recently won Best Tasting Cakes in Dallas at the 2010 Platinum Wedding Cake Contest as well as "Best of the Southwest Chocolate Cake", and 2010 Battle of the Bakers - Best Tasting Cake!
